asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has any information as to what is the money value of the contributions per head of the population made by Great Britain and each of the Dominions towards the costs of the defence of the Empire?

I would refer the hon. Member to the Armaments Year Book, published by the League of Nations, which contains particulars of defence expenditure and population for each of the countries referred to. As regards the United Kingdom, a statement giving particulars of defence expenditure over the last 10 years is being circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
