HC Deb 14 May 1936 vol 312 c554
70. Mr. GALLACHER

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that the number of poultry stock in Great Britain has decreased to the extent of nearly four millions in 1935 and that many poultry keepers have been put out of business; and whether he is prepared to take special steps to deal with the situation that exists in this industry?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Mr. Elliot)

I would refer to the replies I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Moseley (Sir P. Hannon) on 23rd March, and the hon. Member for Kirkcaldy (Mr. Kennedy) on 4th May, copies of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
