§ Mr. LLOYDSection 24 of the Betting and Lotteries Act, 1934, provides that private lotteries, which are defined in that Section, shall be deemed not to be unlawful lotteries but that certain prescribed conditions shall be observed in connection with the promotion and conduct of such lotteries. No special instructions have been issued to the police, but appropriate action would be taken should infringements of the law come to notice.
