HC Deb 07 May 1936 vol 311 c1851
7. Mr. DAVID ADAMS

asked the Minister of Labour why unemployed men who previously worked at Beamish, Tanfield, Lea, and other collieries in that district are not offered the vacancies at these collieries, but instead men dismissed from the South Moor group of collieries have been supplied by the Employment Exchange with cards to enable them to obtain employment at the first-mentioned collieries?

Mr. E. BROWN

I am making inquiries and will communicate with the hon. Member as soon as possible.
