HC Deb 06 May 1936 vol 311 c1697
50. Mr. CHORLTON

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence whether he has met or arranged to meet the special committee set up in Lancashire to help in the defence programme, the finding and registration of possible manufacturers, and the allocation of contracts and other services?

The MINISTER for the CO-ORDINATION of DEFENCE (Sir Thomas Inskip)

The Chairman of the Supply Board, who is one of my chief advisers, and the Board of Trade, with whom I am in close touch, have been in communication with this committee. A representative of the committee was, in fact, seen this morning.

Mr. CHORLTON

Has there been any result so far?

Sir T. INSKIP

I have not had a report of the meeting this morning.
