HC Deb 04 May 1936 vol 311 cc1339-40
1. Sir NICHOLAS GRATTANDOYLE

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the resolution unanimously adopted by the egg section of the North Eastern Produce Exchange, calling attention to the bad packing of English eggs and stating that use is made of old Irish, Continental, and Colonial boxes with cardboard sections, which may even be verminous, and, as egg shells are porous, the eggs are likely to be contaminated; and what action he proposes to take?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Mr. Shakespeare)

My right hon. Friend has been informed of this resolution, and he is making inquiries.
