asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will give particulars of any surplus armaments or war material that has been sold to foreign countries for the three years ended to the last convenient date?

Mr. COOPER

As the answer contains a number of figures I will, with the hon. Member's permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. DAY

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether this surplus stock is obsolete as far as our fighting Service is concerned?

Mr. COOPER

Anything that is surplus is not wanted.

Mr. DAY

Will the right hon. Gentleman give in his reply the names of the countries referred to?
