HC Deb 26 March 1936 vol 310 c1400
49. Mr. ROLAND ROBINSON

asked the Minister of Health whether he is now in a position to state the conditions on which the pensions of the contributory pensions scheme will be extended to shopkeepers, clerks and other black-coated workers, whose income does not exceed a certain limit, in respect of contributions on a voluntary basis?

Sir K. WOOD

I am not in a position to add anything to the statement which I made on this subject on 10th December last. I cannot furnish the details of the scheme in advance of the presentation of the necessary Bill.

Mr. ROBINSON

Will my right hon. Friend undertake to press forward that scheme at the earliest possible moment?

Sir K. WOOD

I made a statement on that matter on 10th December.
