asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs approximately the number of Soviet troops, including airmen, in Outer Mongolia?

Mr. EDEN

I regret that I have no information on this subject.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Is it understood that there are not any Soviet troops in Outer Mongolia?

Mr. EDEN

I am afraid I have no information on that point.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Is not Outer Mongolia part of the Republic of China, and would it not be possible to find out from our Ambassador in China?

Mr. EDEN

It is under Chinese suzerainty.

Mr. LAWSON

Will the hon. Member for South Croydon (Mr. H. G. Williams) tell us which is the outer part of Mongolia?
