HC Deb 23 March 1936 vol 310 c882
59. Mr. V. ADAMS

asked the Home Secretary whether he has any further statement to make about the anti-Semitic activities carried on in the East End of London by a body calling itself the British Union of Fascists and about the measures taken by the police to curb such disorders?

Mr. LLOYD

No, Sir. My right hon. Friend has no further statement to make on this matter at present.

Mr. ADAMS

Is my hon. Friend aware that the performance in the Albert Hall last night included an anti-Jewish incitement, and may I ask whether his Department have any means of dealing with this kind of dangerous incitement? Well, if my hon. Friend's Department have not such powers, will they take them?

Mr. LLOYD

If my hon. Friend has a question to put about the Albert Hall meeting, perhaps he will put it on the Paper.

Mr. BUCHANAN

Will the hon. Gentleman also extend his activities to his own supporters, who are busy raising a worse agitation against the Irish?
