HC Deb 17 March 1936 vol 310 cc200-1
3. Mr. HULBERT

asked the Secretary of State for War the strength of the county of London Territorial divisions as at 31st December, 1934, and 31st December, 1935; and whether any appreciable increase in recruitment has taken place since the latter date?

Mr. COOPER

The strengths of Territorial Army units in the London district, and anti-aircraft units raised by London Territorial Army Associations forming part of the Eastern Command, on 31st December, 1934, and 1935, respectively, were: 940 officers and 13,799 other ranks; 977 officers and 13,371 other ranks. Since January of this year there has been a slight improvement in the rate of recruiting as compared with the corresponding period last year.
