§ Mr. RUNCIMANMy hon. Friend may rest assured that, in negotiating a trade agreement with Peru, His Majesty's Government are giving the fullest attention to the Peruvian customs duties on cotton manufactures.
§ Mr. ECKERSLEYIf these duties are increased, can we have an assurance that the right hon. Gentleman will bring economic pressure to bear in order that they are reduced to the present level?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANWe are trying to get an agreement which will be satisfactory to both sides.
