asked the Under-Secretary of State for India the number of pilots and mechanics that have been recruited and are at present in the employ of the Indian State Air Service, and particulars of the personnel, stating the number that are Europeans or Indians and the type of machines used for this service?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Mr. Butler)

The only civil aeroplanes belonging to the Government of India are those obtained for the use of the Viceroy. There is no Indian State Air Service.
