HC Deb 16 March 1936 vol 310 cc21-2
73. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the number of days spent at sea and in carrying out exercises, respectively, by each of the capital ships of His Majesty's Navy during each of the last five years?

Mr. LINDSAY

I regret that the information asked for could not be obtained without an inordinate amount of work, which would not be justified. The figures for 1934, however, will be found in an answer given to the hon. Member for East Willesden (Mr. D. G. Somerville)

the past seven years; the first cost of each ship; and the total cost of repair and alteration in each case?

The CIVIL LORD of the ADMIRALTY (Mr. Kenneth Lindsay)

As the information asked for by the hon. Member is somewhat lengthy, I will, with his permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the information:

on 3rd April, 1935, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
