asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered the principles of monetary control for equating consumption to production advocated by Major C. H. Douglas before the Macmillan Committee; and, if so, whether he will publish in full, as a White Paper, the views of the Treasury upon such principles?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I am aware that evidence was taken by the Macmillan Committee from Major Douglas and that the Committee did not think it necessary
