HC Deb 10 March 1936 vol 309 c1944
17. Mr. DUNCAN

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether there will be any change in the chairmanship of the Oversea Settlement Board, in view of the resignation from office of the Under-Secretary of State, who was also chairman of the board; and, if so, who will be the new chairman?

Mr. M. MacDONALD

Yes, Sir. My hon. Friend the Member for West Derbyshire (Marquess of Hartington), who has been appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs, will be the chairman of the Oversea Settlement Board.

Mr. DUNCAN

Is this board now meeting regularly?

Mr. MacDONALD

I am afraid that, owing to the change in the chairmanship, there has been a slight delay in holding the first meeting, but it will be held at the earliest possible moment.
