HC Deb 09 March 1936 vol 309 c1798
64. Mr. E. SMITH

asked the Minister of Health whether he will consider the making of Dovedale and Worsley national parks as a memorial to the late King?

Mr. SHAKESPEARE

My right hon. Friend understands that the question of a memorial to the late King is under consideration and he is not at present in a position to make any statement in the matter.

Mr. SMITH

Will the hon. Gentleman take into consideration the fact that it is the desire of the local authorities that this should be done?
