HC Deb 05 March 1936 vol 309 cc1569-70
81. Mr. De La BERE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether arrangements can be made for a more rapid publication of the reports of the effect of the Import Duties Act on the industries of the country?

Dr. BURGIN

I can assure by hon. Friend that I fully appreciate the importance of publishing these reports promptly. The principal results of the Import Duties Act Inquiry for 1934 are being published in a series of preliminary reports in the Board of Trade Journal. The reports relating to all the textile trades have already appeared, and it is hoped to complete the series by the middle of the year.
