§ 33. Mr. MESSERasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will give instructions that, in view of the shortage of labour in Palestine, the number of immigrant labourers allowed under the immigration schedule should, in accordance with Jewish representations, be increased?
Mr. J. H. THOMASI am not aware of any shortage of labour in Palestine. But the High Commissioner takes all relevant factors into consideration when fixing the labour schedules.
