HC Deb 04 March 1936 vol 309 c1388
73. Lieut.-Colonel Sir WILLIAM ALLEN

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the advisability of registering a telegraphic address for the House of Commons for the convenience of Members of the House?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Sir Walter Womersley)

The address "Commons Wire London" is already registered as a telegraphic address for the House of Commons, but I am glad to have an opportunity of making this fact more widely known.
