asked the Postmaster-General whether he will extend the five-day week which is in operation in certain Government printing departments to one of the branches of the Post Office by way of experiment?

The work of the Post Office continues during the whole week, and while the incidence of the traffic has made it desirable to arrange for the attendance of a comparatively small number of Post Office manipulative employés to be limited to five days, any wide extension of the arrangement would give rise to inconvenience.
