asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recommendations he has received from local licensing authorities suggesting a State censorship of talking films and news reels; and whether he will make a statement as to the Government's present attitude towards same?

No such recommendation has been received from local licensing authorities, and I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which was given to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for South Cardiff (Captain Evans) on 30th April.
