HC Deb 23 June 1936 vol 313 c1596
60. Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKE

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been drawn to the unsatisfactory state in which some local authorities leave sites of properties demolished under slum clearance for considerable periods before removing the accumulation of débris; what action he proposes to take to prevent danger to property and person by this practice; and whether he will take steps to see that local authorities make arrangements to commence the building of the new houses on the sites when the condemned buildings have been pulled down?

Mr. SHAKESPEARE

My right hon. Friend has not received any representations with regard to the condition of sites which have been acquired by local authorities under their clearance operations. If my hon. Friend will send particulars of any case he has in mind my right hon. Friend will look into it.
