asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence whether he will consider the provision of bomb-proof reservoirs for oil storage, on a scale sufficient to maintain a supply of oil in this country adequate to our needs in time of war?

My hon. and gallant Friend may be assured that the Standing Sub-Committee of the Committee of Imperial Defence to which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister referred in the reply he gave on 26th February last to my hon. Friend the Member for Paisley (Mr. Maclay) is considering all practicable means for ensuring the maintenance of supplies of oil for this country in time of war.
