§ Captain CROOKSHANKAs I informed the house, in answer to a question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Ripon (Major Hills) on 4th May, I discussed this matter with representatives of the Mining Association and asked for an interim report on the position, including a statement of the further action the mine owners are prepared to take in each district. I understand that the terms of this report will be settled at a meeting to be held to-morrow, and I hope to have it in my hands at an early date thereafter.
