HC Deb 15 June 1936 vol 313 cc640-1
Lieut.-Colonel MOORE

May I ask for your guidance, Mr. Speaker, as to whether I can get this information from you or from the Prime Minister? During the discussion this afternoon it was intimated in conversation that on Thursday a Foreign Affairs Debate would be raised, but we had already been led to assume that Scottish Estimates would be considered on that date, and so I want to ask whether both you, Sir, and the Government are going to be accessories to denying justice to Scotland? It appears now that we are to discuss foreign affairs on that date, and the Opposition have done nothing to prevent it.

Mr. SPEAKER

The arrangement of the time for taking public business has nothing to do with me.

Mr. T. JOHNSTON

Arising out of that comment, is the hon. and gallant Gentleman not aware that we were only getting a, half-day for Scotland, and that we shall probably get a whole day later on?
