HC Deb 11 June 1936 vol 313 c393
65. Mr. CHORLTON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether any lighter-than-air development in the way of observation balloons and small airships for South Coast patrol is contemplated?

Sir P. SASSOON

The possibility of the useful employment of observation balloons in connection with air defence is under constant review, but it would not be in the public interest to publish details.
