HC Deb 11 June 1936 vol 313 c374
26. Mr. JOEL

asked the Minister of Health whether it is his intention that, in connection with the visiting by health visitors of all children under the age of five who do not attend school, such visitation will affect all classes of the community; and, if not, how the scope of such visits will be limited?

Sir K. WOOD

I will send my lion. Friend a copy of the circular which I have recently issued on this subject. The question of visiting in any particular case is one within the discretion of the local authority, who will naturally take account of the extent to which to their knowledge the health of the child is already supervised.
