HC Deb 10 June 1936 vol 313 cc189-90
1. Mr. DAY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the number of consul-generals, consuls, and vice-consuls, salaried or unsalaried, which His Majesty's Government has in the United States of America?

Captain EUAN WALLACE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to a similar question by the hon. Member for East Birkenhead (Mr. White) on 22nd May.

Mr. DAY

Is the Minister satisfied that we have sufficient consular representation in America?

Captain WALLACE

That point does not arise; perhaps the hon. Member will be good enough to put it down.
