Mr. BANFIELDasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the Civil Service Clerical Association has been waiting for nearly two months for the commencement of negotiations on the position of machine operators, etc., employed in his Department; what is the reason for this delay; and when he anticipates that negotiations will be opened?
Mr. COOPERThis question has been under active consideration, but it is a matter which requires detailed examination. It is hoped that negotiations will be opened without undue delay.
