asked the Minister of Pensions whether he can supply for the years 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, and 1935, respectively, the number of ex-service men's widows who applied for a pension and the number refused; and the number of ex-service men who applied for a pension and the number refused?

Following is the reply:

The numbers of claims to pensions from ex-service men's widows and orphan children which were decided during each of the six years 31st March, 1931–36 were as follow:
