§ 46. Mr. MANDERasked the Prime Minister whether he will state the plans of the Government with regard to the conscription of wealth and man-power in the event of the outbreak of war; and whether these two subjects would be dealt with simultaneously?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI can add nothing to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member in reply to a supplementary question arising out of the question which he addressed to me on 24th March last.
§ Mr. MANDERCannot the right hon. Gentleman say whether these two matters will be dealt with together?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI really cannot meet every hypothetical circumstance in every hypothetical case, but I am quite certain that if such a tragedy occurs, whatever Government is in power, steps will be taken against any anti-national action.
