79. Mr. ROSTRON DUCKWORTHasked the Minister of Transport whether he proposes to recommend the adoption in Lancashire of the invisible-ray methods of testing speeds of motorists, in view of the fact that this system is probably fairer than the ordinary methods of police trapping?
§ Sir J. SIMONI have been asked to reply. I understand that this method is being tried by the Chief Constable of Cheshire, but at present it is still in an experimental stage. Further experience of its working would be necessary before it could be recommended for general adoption, but in any event it could only supplement and could not replace other methods of enforcing the speed limit.
