§ Major TRYONOn the first part of the question I am communicating with the British Broadcasting Corporation and will write to my hon. and gallant Friend. The Government have accepted the recommendation of the Ullswater Committee that the Empire broadcasting 1080 service should be developed, and steps are being taken to give effect to this decision. No information is available as to the amounts spent by the countries mentioned on their short-wave broadcasting services.
