HC Deb 21 July 1936 vol 315 c255
69. Mr. GEORGE HALL

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can make any statement as to the establishment of trading estates in South Wales?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead)

The South Wales and Monmouthshire Trading Estate Company will shortly be registered. A board of directors has been formed and a secretary appointed. Meanwhile sites are being examined but it is impossible to make a comprehensive statement until the negotiations have been satisfactorily concluded. I understand that satisfactory progress is also being made in the private venture by the Town and Factories Development, Limited, to set up a trading estate at Port Talbot.
