Friend is not prepared to delay the introduction of legislation in regard to trunk roads, the advisability of consolidating the law relating to highways is engaging his attention. He shares my hon. and gallant Friend's view that the proposed legislation is an added reason for making progress in the direction of consolidation as soon as is practicable.
