HC Deb 15 July 1936 vol 314 c2040
Captain RAMSAY

asked the Minister of Transport how the price charged to the general commissioners for the grid by the Grampian Electricity Supply Company compares with that supplied to the county of Angus?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Mr. Hore-Belisha)

My hon. and gallant Friend will find the available information in the Annual Return of Statistics of Electricity Undertakings, particularly on pages 668 and 669. There is no distinction made between receipts in the county of Angus and receipts in other parts of the company's area.

Captain RAMSAY

Does my right hon. Friend consider that the difference in the price charged respectively is a fair one, in view of the fact that this company is receiving a special rate concession from the county of Angus, and, if not, will he have inquiry made to see whether any adjustment can be made?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I do not accept the first part of my hon. and gallant Friend's question, and, therefore, the second part does not arise.
