HC Deb 15 July 1936 vol 314 c2022
10. Mr. V. ADAMS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will notify the German Government that His Majesty's Government would regard as an unfriendly act any violent infringement of the territorial integrity and existing political independence of the States of Austria and Czechoslovakia?

Mr. EDEN

I do not consider that the situation calls for any such notification on the part of His Majesty's Government.

22. Mr. RILEY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the agreement recently concluded between the Governments of Germany and Austria will affect any existing agreement or undertaking between His Majesty's Government and the Government of Austria; and, if so, what agreement or undertaking will be affected?

Mr. EDEN

Not according to my present information.

Mr. RILEY

Has the right hon. Gentleman any knowledge of any correspondence passed between the Austrian Government and the League of Nations on this matter?

Mr. EDEN

No, Sir, I have no knowledge of that.
