HC Deb 15 July 1936 vol 314 cc2048-9
76. Mr. W. ROBERTS

asked the Minister of Health for what reason Mr. G. S. Green was transferred from his position as inspector under the Food and Drugs Act under the Islington Borough Council contrary to the terms of his appointment; and whether such transfer has the Ministry's approval?

Mr. SHAKESPEARE

The Sanitary Officers Order, 1926, provides that where a local authority has two or more sanitary inspectors it may distribute among them the duties which have to be performed by a sanitary inspector. The approval of my right hon. Friend is not required to any such distribution of duties.
