HC Deb 14 July 1936 vol 314 cc1866-7
61. Mr. DAY

asked the President of the Board of Trade the countries or country of origin of all the negative cinema film imported into Great Britain and Northern Ireland and registered for the 12 months ended to the last convenient date?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

With the hon. Member's permission, I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of the countries of origin of imported films registered under the Cinematograph Films Act, 1927, during the twelve months ended 30th June, 1936.

Mr. DAY

Is it not a fact that there has been a progressive decrease in the importation of negative cinema film?
