HC Deb 14 July 1936 vol 314 cc1846-7
12. Mr. HENDERSON STEWART

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has any statement to make on the recent meeting between the Under-Secretary of State and the Scottish National Trust with reference to the preservation of buildings of historic or artistic merit; and what steps he proposes to take to deal with the matters then raised?

Sir G. COLLINS

I am considering in consultation with my right hon. Friend the First Commissioner of Works the suggestions made by the representative of the Scottish National Trust at the meeting on 6th July, but I am not yet in a position to snake any statement.
