HC Deb 07 July 1936 vol 314 cc1017-8
29. Major NEVEN-SPENCE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the attention of the Northern Lighthouse Commissioners has been drawn to the urgent need for a lighted buoy at Eda Groina Shoal, Veeness, Eday, Orkney; and, if so, what action they propose to take?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I am informed by the Northern Lighthouse Commissioners that they have already had the matter under consideration, and that, on the information before them, they are not prepared to mark the Eda Groina Shoal by a lighted buoy.
