HC Deb 02 July 1936 vol 314 c608
51. Mr. DAY

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proposals have been put forward or suggestions made by the Inland Revenue authorities or the responsible Department concerned for the purpose of levying Entertainments Duty on the proceeds from the sale of seats sold in connection with royal or similar processions; and will he consider the appointment of a departmental committee to examine the same?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

With regard to the first part of the question, I am not aware that any such proposals or suggestions have been made; the second part of the question does not therefore arise.
