Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe hon. Member will find in the National Debt Return (Command Paper 4996 of 1935) full particulars of the annual charges for interest 652 on the National Debt from 1913 to 1934 inclusive. It is not possible, owing to the various conversion and redemption operations which have taken place, to distinguish what portion of the whole represents interests on loans contracted for the purposes of the War.
