asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been called to the congestion and delay in the telephone service of Palestine, in particular with regard to the delay in obtaining communication between such towns as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa; and whether it is proposed to take any steps 433 at an early date to remedy this matter and, in particular, to introduce up-to-date apparatus?

Yes, Sir. Every effort is being made by the Palestine Government to remedy the delay and congestion which have occurred and to introduce the most modern equipment.
