§ Mr. E. BROWNEmphasis has always been placed upon the importance of physical training for boys and girls attending junior instruction centres. Local education authorities in England and Wales have power to arrange for the medical inspection of all juveniles in attendance at the centres, and the provision of medical and dental treatment where necessary. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the memorandum on the provision of medical services which has been issued to local education authorities.

§ Mr. PALINGIs it a fact that in cases where people are not physically fit the Ministry has not taken ways and means of feeding them in order to make them fit?
§ Mr. BROWNThere is no statutory power for me to do that, but the matter is being considered at the moment by the National Advisory Council on Juvenile Employment.

§ Mr. G. HALLAs this matter has been before the Advisory Council for about 12 months, will the right hon. Gentleman see that their report is expedited?
