HC Deb 18 December 1936 vol 318 c2803
23. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether, in view of the continued German campaign for the return of her former colonies, he will make it clear beyond misunderstanding that the satisfaction of legitimate German claims, in so far as Great Britain is concerned could not be satisfied on that basis in view of our obligations as trustees for the native races in these territories?

Mr. EDEN

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement which I made on this subject on 27th July, to which I have nothing to add.

Mr. MANDER

Will the right hon. Gentleman request the German Ambassador to stop his clumsy efforts at Nazi propaganda in this country?
