HC Deb 08 December 1936 vol 318 c1837
66. Mr. J. GRIFFITHS

asked the 'Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the dangerous state of the road between Pembrey and Cwmmawr, in Carmarthenshire; and, as this road links up with the LondonFishguard road, whether he will consider the advisability of making a grant towards the improvement of the Pembrey-Cwmmawr road?

Captain HUDSON

Yes, Sir. My right hon. Friend has already made grants for the improvement of this road; and further schemes are in preparation. He has also decided to classify it as a Class II road so that from the 1st April next 50 per cent. of the approved cost of its upkeep will also be borne by the Road Fund.
