GRIFFITHSasked the 'Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the dangerous state of the road between Pembrey and Cwmmawr, in Carmarthenshire; and, as this road links up with the LondonFishguard road, whether he will consider the advisability of making a grant towards the improvement of the Pembrey-Cwmmawr road?
Captain HUDSONYes, Sir. My right hon. Friend has already made grants for the improvement of this road; and further schemes are in preparation. He has also decided to classify it as a Class II road so that from the 1st April next 50 per cent. of the approved cost of its upkeep will also be borne by the Road Fund.
