HC Deb 08 December 1936 vol 318 cc1826-7
55. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Secretary for Mines the amount of financial assistance given by the Rheinish-Westphalian Syndicate, Germany, to coal exported from that port; and the difference in railway rates for coal exported from that port as compared with those charged for coal used for inland purposes, also the value of the release of blocked marks used for coal export?

Captain CROOKSHANK

As it is the practice in Germany to apply to each sale of coal such financial assistance as is considered advisable, it is quite impossible for me to give a reply to the points raised in the hon. Member's question.
