Mr. DAYasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can make a statement as to the result of the conversations that have taken place between His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and His Majesty's Governments in New Zealand and the Commonwealth of Australia with reference to the possibility of a withdrawal of the British mail service between Australia, New Zealand and San Francisco; and can he say what action has been decided upon to deal with the position?
